Is life fair?

Recently we lost two very bright students of IIITM in an accident. The whole institute is immersed in grief. The whole incident got me thinking how unfair life can be. One single incident changes not just your life but also the lives of people attached to you. Especially in case of accidents, it’s just one careless mistake, right? Why are the punishments so severe? Is God actually doing all this? Does He govern everything? How can he be so unfair at times? Can’t he see what can his decisions do to His innocent children?

I f we take this to an even broader perspective the uncertainty in everything seems really unfair. A newly born kid is just a kid who hasn’t even started living his life yet. But his fate is depended on who his parents are. I mean what exactly is the difference between a 1 day old born at some BPL house or some millionaire’s mansion? If God was fair shouldn’t the system be more impartial?

Shouldn’t the corrupt people be inside the bars by now? But instead guiltless people are sent to prison. Terrorists make plans to strike at innocent citizens. Who is responsible for this? Is it just us, the humans? Or the system designed by the Almighty is faulty?

Is He actually there? If yes, has He decided everything for us already? Is life fair?

  1. I just found this blog and thought this post was interesting. You refer to God a lot, but at the same time seem to know nothing about his story. The Bible says that man is a corrupt and sinful species, always straying from the Lord's loving side. He is ther and He does love us, more than you seem to think. No, life is not fair. Yes, sometimes good people die, but that doesn't mean He doesn't love us. Don't lose faith.
